Worth Matravers Parish Council – Harmans Cross Residents’ Survey
Following the recent Dorset Council housing needs survey, which has now closed and for which we are awaiting the results, Worth Matravers Parish Council is now carrying out its own survey to understand the views of Harmans Cross residents about the proposed Community Land Trust development.
At this stage, no formal planning application has been submitted and the Parish Council has not formed a view on the proposed development. However, when a planning application is submitted, the Parish Council will need to consider the proposal and we want to understand the views of local residents so that we can take these into account.
We would therefore like to hear from all Harmans Cross residents, whether you support the proposal, do not support it, or are undecided.
The survey asks a few short questions about your views and, where applicable, the main reasons for your support or concerns.
Please make sure you have your say, whatever your views.
Complete the Harmans Cross Residents’ Survey
Please note: This is a survey being undertaken by Worth Matravers Parish Council to understand the views of Harmans Cross residents. It is not a planning consultation and does not replace the formal consultation process that will take place if a planning application is submitted.
Every Harmans Cross resident is welcome to complete the survey. There is no limit of one response per household, so if more than one person lives at your address, each resident can complete the survey and give their own views.
Housing needs survey – Survey now Closed.

A housing needs survey was carried out during June and July 2026 for residents and people with a local connection to Corfe Castle, Harmans Cross and Worth Matravers.
The survey, led by Dorset Council in connection with Corfe Castle Community Land Trust (CLT), sought views on the need for affordable rented homes for people with a local connection to the area. The survey was intended to help provide evidence of local housing need in relation to the proposed development at land off Tabbit’s Hill Lane, Harmans Cross.
The survey has now closed, and the Parish Council is awaiting the results. We will provide further information when the results are available.
